Practicing yoga has been a part of Darcie’s life since 2000 when she was seeking to bring more loving-kindness (metta) into her life. She was drawn to yoga as it provided space for meditation, mindfulness, and balance. Her love for yoga stems from the meditative practice of aligning movement with breath and the gentleness and grounding that yoga has brought in her life.
Darcie completed her yoga training at Moksha Yoga Center in 2005. Her classes concentrate on both dynamic and static poses that enhance flexibility, strength, balance, and relaxation. She focuses on the rhythm and grace of the breath to promote awareness and insight.
Darcie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy for children and their families. She integrates her work as a social worker and yoga teacher to provide a healing space for children and families in small group classes and through private instruction.
